Rachel Smith
Lead Veterinary Technician
Hi y'all! My name is Rachel, and I'll be your lead veterinary technician at TownWell Veterinary Clinic! I've been working in the veterinary field for close to 18 years and truly love what I do. Providing exceptional patient care and helping pet owners understand how to best care for their animals is something I take a lot of pride in. I enjoy being part of a team that helps pets live healthier, happier lives while supporting the families who love them.
Over the years, I've developed strong skills in advanced diagnostics and hold certifications in ultrasound and echocardiography. I also enjoy teaching and mentoring other technicians, as well as helping clients better understand their pet's health through clear communication and compassionate care.
When I'm not at the clinic, I stay busy with our very large family and our two pets - Briggs, our energetic Australian Shepherd, and Mango, our tuxedo cat.
Allison Hodges
Veterinary Technician/Assistant
Hi, I’m Allison! I have lived in Montgomery for my entire life. Growing up I always had Labrador retrievers, but I currently have a black lab named Mavis, an adorable tuxedo cat named Chicken, and a Chihuahua named Belle and they are my entire world.
I’ve had such love and passion for animals and veterinary medicine for as long as I can remember and I’ve been working in Vet Med as a Technician/ Assistant for small animals for almost 5 years now and everyday it brings me so much joy.
I am also currently in enrolled in school online for my Veterinary Technician License to further improve my knowledge, education and technical skills for your beloved pets. I’m excited and eager to learn more from my school program and being alongside the team at TownWell!
I can’t wait to meet y’all
Rikki Schaal, LVT
Veterinary Technician
Hey everyone! My name is Rikki and I am so happy to be a part of the team at TownWell! I have been taking care of pets and in veterinary medicine for nearly 15 years. I have an associates degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Licensed Technician in 2016.
I enjoy all aspects of my job but have a special interest in surgery, dental care, and anything laboratory related.
When I’m not at work taking care of my patients and their people, you can find me on the beach, combing for treasures, or at home taking care of my large plant collection. I am a proud step mom and dog mom of a senior Teacup Yorkie named Tucker.
I look forward to my future here! See y’all soon!

Hi there, my name is Sarah! I am 19 years old and I am currently going to school to become a veterinary technician. I love working with animals and it has always been my passion. I currently have 4 animals: two dogs, Valkyrie, a Malinois/Husky mix, and Bodie, a Pitbull; my cat I just rescued off the street last year, Loki; and last but not least my bearded dragon Blaze! Kimberly McQuarry
Office Manager
I'm Kimberly, Dr. Wells' office manager as well as her mother. My husband and I moved to the Montgomery/Magnolia area in September 2024 to be closer to our daughter and grandchildren, not knowing she was going to put me to work. We have fallen in love with the people of Montgomery and this area we now call home. I have a BS and MBA from Texas Woman's University. Although I have never worked in a veterinary clinic, I was the VP/GM of MPA Systems, Inc. for 17 years and the office manager at Level One Paving, Inc. for 10 years. My love for animals started at an early age and only deepened as I watched my daughter's love and care for them grow through the years. I'm looking forward to meeting our new clients and their pets!
